We are always looking for fresh ideas.
1. Meet at Lippert Park (Willhelm and Weber) at 10 am and learn about its history.
2. Walk to Duke Street park and discover which landmark was torn down to provide this community area.
3. Walk to Mt. Hope cemetary and learn about some fascinating people buried there (we'll stay in the Moore street area so as not to roam too far).
4. Walk along Peltz Avenue and learn about naturalized landscaping and local area plants.
5. Finish up at B.F. Goodrich park to talk about eco restoration and anything else that comes up.
Children with bicycles are welcome.
Visit mhbpna.blogspot.com for updates and neighbourhood information.

*El version español sigue. A Taste of Kitchener
Join us in our exploration of all that is growing and edible in downtown Kitchener. We'll be doing everything from popping into people's backyards and touring innovative community gardens, to checking out swanky cafes and finding out where food from around the world (and Ontario) is enjoyed in Kitchener. This walk is wheelchair accessible, and kid (and dog!) friendly.
*Traduction en français sera disponible sur demande (svp nous contacter 24 heures à l'avance)
Come along as we discover and appreciate the varied history, architecture, culture, and services that downtown Kitchener has to offer. We'll cover everything from the significance of streetlights and sidewalks, to the community organisations and parks you never knew existed. Open to all those new to Kitchener, as well as to those who want to rediscover it.
